…and so it begins. Our year-and-a-half story of bringing ‘Phoenix down‘ to life is ready to turn a new chapter. Countless hours of writing, arranging, recording, rewriting, rearranging and rerecording have been spent to complete what we set out to do when this band was started. After finally hearing the record from the first acoustic slide-guitar chugs of ‘Restraints‘ to the fading chord passages of ‘Today‘, we are sure the dedication, determination and love of all those involved in the process can be heard in every single lyric, guitar riff, bass thump and drum hit. With deepest thanks to all our loved ones, friends, family, our producer and everyone else who made this record possible, we are proud to announce that ‘Phoenix down‘ is now available for purchase.

We can’t blieve it, but D day is finally here. Our debut album, ‘Phoenix down’ is complete. The long wait is finally over as the final master tracks are now safely secured with us, scheduled to hit the factory tomorrow morning. All lights are green for the official release on September 7th. More good news from DSW HQ: we will be playing at this year’s Schengefest!
Schengenfest is a 3-day music festival, taking place by the beautiful Kolpa river. Dirtswitch will be closing act for the first day of the festival, Friday, 5h August 2011. We hit the stage at 02:45 AM (yes, waaaay past midnight!), so make sure you have your red bull-vodkas ready when things start to get loud & heavy.

We hope you’ve been enjoying the new oriental-themed single. ‘Comatose’ is probably one of the darkest tracks on the album and also one of the heaviest. Strangely enough, it was born from an acoustic session back when Dirtswitch was still pushing its first months of existence.
Meanwhile, we’ve finally updated our discography section of the page! In the renewed section, you’ll be able to find lyrics, album covers, music players and mp3 downloads of our released tracks. Hence, the new single ‘Comatose’ is now available for download through our webpage. We’ve also added lyrics for both singles.
