Hello DSW fans,

what a busy month for us! Following the kickass gig in Ljubljana’s ROLL BAR with MIT & John Doe, we’ve had our very first live TV appearance on TV Maribor where we played two acoustic pieces on the Koktajl show. We also decided it was time for us to give you a little insight on what we’ve been up to the past year, so we made our first promo video for the song  Too Much. It’s raw and it’s wild, just like us. Check it out and let us know what you think!

DSW will blast open the new year with a head-on collision of heavy down-tuned riffage. The mayhem of aLIVE 2012 starts in January as we confirm 3 new gigs until March with more to be announced later. We’re even going international and you can check out the dates in our GIGS section of the website.

As the Phoenix takes off to Italy, we are faced with two new reviews. Elia Li Causi of zonarock.it webzine gave Phoenix Down a rating of 7/10 and praised the album as “well produced, well played and well sung”. Ludovico from playmusic.it took it up a notch with a rating of 7,5/10. You can read the full reviews here:

A review of Phoenix Down has also been featured in the latest issue of German metal/rock magazine, Legacy. The magazine gave the album a whopping 12/15 points and described the album as “crisp, raw and authentic“, giving credit to the fact that the album recaptures the dirtiness and edge of rock that has been lost in the last few years. Legacy magazine packs over 100 pages of rock music and can be sold in specific outlets over Europe.
